We have visited here before during the kareef season when it was much greener than this time. However, there must have been recent rains further up in the mountains as there was a spectacular waterfall where we had had a picnic previously.

Its always a good time to visit Wadi Darbat, but what season you visit will determine what you see. If you visit in June, you will be at the height of the summer, prior to the monsoon season in the fall, so the amount of water and rivers will be at their least. On the plus side, if you have an off road vehicle, you will be able to explore the whole valley with your vehicle, and appreciate the scenery, the animals, etc. On the negative, no boating, and very limited waterways.
