    Kuching Waterfront
A nice place to stroll in the evening, watch the sunset and maybe some interesting stalls may be set up. These are usually good value as they do not have overheads to pay. Local eateries to have a very local style dinner. Just go for something cooked is safer for the tummy.

    Stunning views
Best place in Kuching to be especially after sunset. Stunning views is Darul hana bridge and mosque and Kuching iconic building. Many shops along and all these activities are free. Don’t miss the 3 light shows at 8.30, 9.30 and 10.30pm. A must visit place in Kuching, try staying nearby.

    Happening!
Such a happening place at night along the waterfront. We enjoyed the water light show. There were many mascots and performance. One of the mascots offer to shape balloons eg flower. We simply enjoyed the vibes. There were many food stalls and don't forget to try kek lapis Sarawak!!

Pleasant place to stroll in the evenings!
Lots of energy and smiling faces along the waterfront. The place especially comes alive in the evenings, with food stalls, street entertainers, lighted buildings, and more. The place to stroll in the evening. The only downside is that you'll have trouble finding a place serving beer unless you head one or two streets inland from the river.

Kuching Waterfron and Sarawak River in the city of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (BORNEO ISLAND). Great atmosphere...
I was visiting Kuching, Sarawak, MALAYSIA (Borneo Island) early in December 2023. And there was this tallest flag pole in the country recently constructed and completed. Ready for official opening in the eve of the New Year 2024. Wonderful scene. Great activities along the waterfront (Sarawak River). Lots of local foods and western foods as well. Must visit!

This place is probably best to visit during the cooling evening hours. The Plaza Merdeka mall is nearby in case you want to get some aircon and food.

A really great place to hang out and to enjoy the scenery. The waterfront and the bridge is nice but so is the light and music show at 8:30pm.

There are plenty of vendors and stalls along the waterfront.

There is also an ice-cream stall IG Gula Apong Ais Krim which uses the sugar of the Nipah palm that results in a rich, aromatic kind of sugar that is really unique.

There is a river cruise as well which just adds to the excitement of the whole area.

Nice waterfront with lots of local food and buskers. The river is pretty wide which makes the waterfront walk really pleasant.
The only drawback was the heat, even at night
Go at night - much prettier

Try the ice cream gula apong (palm tree sugar) in the afternoon. I think this type of dessert can only be found in Sarawak.

During night time this place transforms into a night market selling food and clothing. There are performers dressing up as robots and anime characters waiting to take a photo with passerbys for a fee. Heard from a taxi driver that most of the hawkers are villagers from opposite side of the river.
