There were lots of small shops where local people come shopping foods, daily stuff, and so on. Good to be able to see locals' life just on the back of downtown street.

It is a long shopping street with cover so you could enjoy your shopping there even if it is a rainy day. There are lots of stores, selling food, clothes, fruits, etc. There is a fish market inside the shopping street, you could enjoy fresh...More

It's actually a wet market with lots of seafood for sale including lobsters, etc. I would recommend you to try the Okinawan speciality - a big sea whelk which glows at night. If you want to have your seafood cooked on 2/F, there will be...More

It's on the major tourists' shopping street, but it's an alley, an alley with a solid walkway, off-shoot sidewalks and halls that are tentacle-like in relation to the main walkway, countless colorful shops and stalls, and a fish market that is a photographer's delight.

Excellent shopping street for all that souvenir or funky "only in okinawa" clothing item or shoes. That said, if you are taller than 1.78m and wear shoes larger than a US 8, don't bother looking for clothes or funky shoes
