We enjoyed walking around this pod after visiting the Shuri Castle. It was a very peaceful walk for 30 minutes and also enjoyed to see small animals such as ducks and turtles.

There are so many beautiful ducks, turtles and fish here! The friends that I visited with came prepared to feed them and that made the experience extra special. Plan to spend about an hour if you bring a bag of food. Visited in July 2015.

You can get to Shuri Castle by Yuri rail and Routan is a 10 min walk from the castle visitor center. They will give you a map with all surrounding sites.
