Many shop on the street along the way but they sold the same thing. You can find a lot of food on the street too.

Lots for the not-so-discriminating tourist (t-shirts, etc.). There's an interesting center for local crafts, though.

There are a lot of shops to visit but they are opened in the evening and onwards. The closer, the parking is more expensive, yet it is the most comfortable. For buying stuff, the closer shops are also expensive

About 15 minutes walking is correct. The sunshine maybe hot if you do that or the rain may spoil your day. We took a cab (100 yen) because there were 4 of us and also because of our age ( above 75).
