Nice shine, nice beach, awesome sea view. Can easily spend 1-2 hours there with children and elders. A lot of souvenir sold in the shine.

A distinct shrine on the island/penisula with great views of the rocky shoreline and sea. We walked around the perimeter of the entire island but just walking our past the shrine for a ways may prove a better use of time for tourists.

I was more interested in seeing the island rather than the shrine. It’s a good place for people to cast a wish in order to get married.

Wonderful walk next to the beach and the 'Devil's Washboard'. The shrine is beautiful and set on a little peninsula!

It was a cold but wonderfully sunny Christmas day when we visited which made it just perfect. We loved the ambience in the temple and really liked wandering across the fascinating rock formations. A highlight of our trip.

A lovely small shine in a beautiful beach setting, with some lovely Japanese gardens too. A beautiful place to spend a half day.

not a very big one - and not as interesting as some of the other shrines i've visited. pop by only if you have extra time to spare.

After the walk across the bridge from Aoshima, you reach this beautiful Shrine set among tropical shrubs and trees. Facing out to the Ocean it has a very peaceful feeling as you explore the area. You must observe the ritual of hand washing and mouth...More
