It's the "official Kumamon" office location and the Department Head has an office here. The area is actually quite small, but they manage to pack 100 or so people in with great efficiency. The products for sale here are advertised as all "Made in Japan"...More

It is a kumamon (Kumamoto Mascot) souvenir shop. The place that you can meet Kumamon Mascot, who is the retail manager. Can check the time, which he will be in the office via website. Good place for young children. Staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Never mind that there's no more black bears in the wild in Kyushu island. We have Kumamon! Omnipresent in Kumamoto, the REAL KUMAMON does appear on the square with his name and it is a quick and fun appearance. Worthwhile seeing it. So genuine and...More

I'm never a fan of Kumamon, but I've to admit I was sort of fantasized when I entered. Guess it'll be a funny scene when Kumamon is working. We took pic inside his office since he wasn't in. Do check out his business hours if...More

Went there out of curiosity since kumamon seems to be really popular. Kumamon was out of the office when I was there. Remember to check his schedule online to find out what time will he be in the office. Not a big fan of kumamon...More

As a big Kumamon fan, it tears me to rate the experience less than average, however, I strongly recommend for young children and families. This "square" is no more than a regular shop space renovated with a small kiosk, a shop, a small children's playground...More
