This is so-called south-most JR train station. Except that, just a little humble station. The weather is bad, Kamondake can't be seen. Maybe train coming would be the best experience. I was suprised to see very frequent Japanese visitors. Try not to lose the train...More

This is the JR Japanese most southerly train station. As there are only few train stop by everyday, we travelled there by car. Also we could walk at the railway and it is fun and happy for taking photo.

Japan's most southerly train station. Nice location and shop/eatery nearby. In you're keen on Japanese trains and such then this is one you might want to cross off on your bucket list - buy only for a short visit. Easy access from Ibusuki station.

Besides being a mark for above mentioned reason, it has a lovely view to the Satsuma Fuji. If you have a JR pass should also stop here extending your visit to Ibusuki

Interesting to visit the southernmost JR station in Ibusuki with Mount Kaimon (mini Mt Fuji) in the background. Some tourists were seen just getting off the train, taking a few pictures and hopping onto the same train again. I had lunch at the only eatery...More

A lot of people visited this station at the time I went there. It is a very small station but the southernmost JR station. You can get a great view of Mt Kaimondake. The yellow post box is also lovable, known as bringing good fortune...More

The station with background of Kaimondake volcano is the southernmost ralway line with Tamatebako, three times a day. The electric assisted bicycle can be rent to Ryugu shrine. Good plan of matching the tram will be careful. It is hard going by bicycle from ibusuki...More
