If you pass in Nara it's impossible to not see this street. It's a commercial street like many other with shops and restaurants... nothing special.

More unique shop[s and restaurants. Mochi making shop with fresh mochis was pretty amazing. Not as large as other cities which is exactly why we liked it.

We saw some roof covered shopping streets in Japan but this was the one we liked most. Lots of different little shops and restaurants where you can easily spend one or two hours when you visit Nara.

Great place to get your souvenirs. It is very busy and a huge mix of people. Here you can get the more traditional Japanese gifts rather than tat. Can get very warm on a nice day as the streets very narrow.

Covered shopping area good for rainy days. Found some nice souvenir shops and there is Daiso on this street, where everything is 108 yen and not of bad quality either.

We searched for a meal place and a shopping, but we could not find any attractive shops other than that of 'Nara-pickles'.

The covered shopping street is near to the JR Station. There are many souvenir shops and restaurants there to facilitate visitors while traveling in Nara. Recommended.

Great for Pokemon Raids when the wife is shopping. A lot of food, gadgets, drinks and just great to walk when it is bad weather

I am sure that if you ask a Japanese friend that they will easily source an inflatable Japanese deer on the internet as inflatables are used as advertising by many shops in Tokyo. Check out you tube videos of Nara Park to... More
