I stumbled upon the brewery by chance while walking back from Nara Park. I was the only visitor, but got six different sakes to taste for 500 YEN. There was very little explanation (only a pamphlet with one sentence per sake), and I would have...More

I got there at 4.32pm and they refused to do a tasting because I was 1 person only. Extremely bad seeing their website says they are open until 5pm. I ended up not buying any.

Great place to try out some different sakes. Tastings are very reasonably priced at 500 yen and include 5 tastings plus some seasonal tastings. I had never tried sparkling sake before, it was refreshing and lighter on alcohol.

5 types of sake and a souvenir glass for 500 Yen is a steal in my book. The service is great and catered to English speakers, the sake was enjoyable, and keeping the glass for free is quite generous considering how much shot glasses go...More

For 500 yen per person, you could sample 5-6 seasonal sake and bring a sake shot glass home as a souvenir. They also sell the sake that you sample there.

Perhaps. I were expecting more than that but none of the employee there were english speaking. You would expect something like introduction & all in the sake tasting process but that were not the case. Just feeling a bit... More
