A great place to visit to see (worship) the awesome Buddha image made of wood. You can feel the tranquility of the temple and the walk on the approach. There is a pillar with a hole in it for you to slip through which I...More

The museum was too small, I had a nice tea there though and the people were very kind, nice environment and a small shop

It has a nice cafe, a souvenir store and clean toilets. Also a museum attached though we were in a rush so could not visit that.

Entrance to the museum is required. However there are a few pieces displayed outside the venue. Toilet facilities and a cafe are located inside for visitors use. If you have time, it is worth to enter and learn more of the history and development around...More

The museum was a major let down following the Todaiji Temple. The exhibition was very small with only a few artefacts on display. No photos were allowed to be taken either. Would not recommend visiting the museum but definitely recommend visiting the Temple itself.

500 yen for the entrance to temple only, 300 yen more for entrance to the nearby museum. The audio guide at the museum cost about 500 yen, and the artefacts dating back to 7th century in the (quite small) museum do not have English explanation.

The small museum has displays on some old statues of religious and historical value. Just a short stop over and have a cup of tea inside the museum.

This is a very small museum close to the temple. There are a few artefacts of interest but overall I don't think it's worth a visit.

This Temple Cultural Centre which locates near to Todaiji Temple is in fact the museum of this temple with many historical and religious statues placed inside. For foreigners, do get the audio set as all descriptions therein are in Japanese. Worth to have a short...More

A small and interesting museum with old statues of religious and historic value. Most of the panels are in Japanese and we did not get an audio guide which seemed to us a little too expensive for the size of the museum. We walked around...More
