Beautiful place, but here's the thing, maybe it's just me. right next door is the smaller Yoshikien gardens. So for me, after a while, that's a lot of garden to see. If I had done one but not the other, I think I would have...More

We visited Isuien shortyl before it closed. It was a rainy day, there were not many people in the garden, probably because the entry fee was on the higher side. Totally worth it tough, the garden is amazing and very well maintained. One of my...More

The entry fee to this garden is 900 yen. It entitles you to a free guided tour of the garden as well as entry to the museum. Some people might shun away because of the cost of the entry fee, however, I do feel that...More

The gardens were pleasant but much smaller than I was expecting. Also the museum was also small and not very interesting especially for non-Japanese speakers. At ¥900, I thought it was very expensive especially compared to the other main sights in Nara.

This is the best park. There is a breathtaking view in the park that I cant stop thinking about. Quiet and not as crowded as the rest of the city. I would really like to come back in spring or fall.

With a reduced rate for foreigners, if you like Japanese gardens this one is better than the neighboring Yoshiki-en garden. It's about half an hour to wander around and enjoy the ambience. There are several tea houses in the gardens and I believe you can...More

This is a hidden gem, uncrowded, quiet, a must see. Step away from the crowds to this peaceful oasis.

Even on a June Sunday with Todai-ji and the surrounding parks so overrun with crowds the deer had given up hassling for food, Isuien was a peaceful oasis, with barely a sound creeping in from outside, and just a few dozen people strolling the grounds....More

Hi Jolly, You will find it is OK with stroller, you may need to hold baby here and there, because the path is not smooth like drive way. Hope it is helpful. Cheers, Linda
