With a reduced rate for foreigners, if you like Japanese gardens this one is better than the neighboring Yoshiki-en garden. It's about half an hour to wander around and enjoy the ambience. There are several tea houses in the gardens and I believe you can...More

Perhaps because it requires an entrance fee, this garden is untarnished by the touristy crowds outside. For the ¥900 I was offered a free English guide around the garden which I learnt a lot from about Japanese landscaping and culture. The garden is quintessentially Japanese...More

Went on a visit to Nara, very peaceful and beautiful. One of my favorite parks in Japan. Not crowded so you could take your time wandering around. Lovely visit

A friend recommended that we visit Isuien Garden during our visit to Nara. We are glad we did! Such a peaceful garden away from the busy and noisy shrines/ temples. The entrance fee is 900 yen for adults, pricey but I think worth it.

Hi Jolly, You will find it is OK with stroller, you may need to hold baby here and there, because the path is not smooth like drive way. Hope it is helpful. Cheers, Linda
