The best part of the park was all the way in the back of the trails, where you get some great views of the plains leading up to the small mountains behind the garden. Great, contained area for kids to explore.

We visited this Shisseikaen in October and in April. In October you see just a few sorts but Autumn leaves in red and orange, in April you see more colours and Lysichiton camtschatcensis.

Various plants and flowers especially from the local marshes, rivers and mountains are planted and well taken care of. Really nice walking through the forests and paths by seeing those. It took us about 1.5 hours to see everything.

Nice museum and nice port town on the other side of Hakone lake Asshi. Try the roasted corn and squid just outside the dock.
