It really is surprising that in Hakone there is such a museum. The most pleasant thing is that the temporary exhibition of the Orient Express train is on. For people like me who have never had the luxury of travelling on the real Orient Express,...More

An excellent display of fine glass making including perfume bottles, insects and water features along with some facts and objects relating to the man himself, a top attraction. There is also an excellent on site restaurant for a good lunch.

As is often the case; in Japan the setting matters as much as the contents and it looks as if no expense was spared in any detail of this small but beautifully presented collection of Lalique treasures. More large items are shown here than in...More

If you are a art-nouveau lover, this is worth the visit. You can find anything from glass to furniture by Lalique.

If you only do one museum or gallery in the Hakone region, make this the one. The works are divine, the gallery is a manageable size, and the romantic style garden is lovely to walk in. We had afternoon tea in the Lalique-decorated railway carriage...More

Really nice museum, if you like the art of Lalique Rare collection of artifacts, in a beautiful display and pleasant place to have lunch as well.

Fantastic museum I love every piece, especially the perfume section with original bottles. We had a short private tour by one of the guides at the museum. It was very helpful. She chose her favourite pieces and elaborated on them. We also met a lovely...More

A rainy day drove me to this museum as it was walking distance from my hotel. It was the first I visited in Hakone so wasn't sure what quality to expect. After visiting many more in the area, I found this one to be the...More

I went there as it was close to the hotel that I stayed. Then I found out it was a good call when I enjoyed seeing art things. All the Lalique exhibits were exceptional, very high value! No doubt for people interest in art.
