This cool looking structure has. A few restaurants that serve the most fresh delicious seafood you can find! It also feels like you are taking a step back in time. Best place to stop for a beer and enjoy people watching.

Very cute tower you can go up (for free) and have a view over Otaru town, see the canal from there and walk around the plaza and grab a bite or shop for souvenirs. Not for wheelchair bound.

在小樽運河邊的出拔小路逛逛 Just cross the street from the Canal, this small plaza still has the Old Japanese fashion to have stores and restaurants in this small squares. A nice spot to visit and may take a bite if you are hungry for local foods

It closes for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Lots of street food places. It seems quiet even in the summer season, I think partly because people were eating to the food hall on the other side of the canal.
