A small pond, having the snow mountain as background, just a common view, not stunning at all, would recommend China's Jiuzaigo far far far more...

This is a beautiful pond, definitely worth a visit. But the whole Kamikochi area is otherworldly, so that I wouldn't rank this the most spectacular. Don't get me wrong, though, it's still nice and charming, esp in the autumn colour season.

The area is quite small for tourists, luckily, there weren't many when we went there. It was quiet and we were able to enjoy the view. There is a nearby restaurant and that's about it.

The water is so clear that you can see the bottom of lake. Moreover, if you have time, you must row a boat in the lake. The experience of rowing a boat there will be memorable.

I had heard a lot about Taishoike so I had a high expectation. We walked from the Kamikochi bus terminal to Taishoike and walked back. The walk on both way, on either side of the river, was very nice, but when I got to Taishoike,...More

I stayed at the Gosenjaku Hotel there are many walks you can do , walking to Taisho pond is one of them. The walk follows the Azusa river , it is not difficult or strenuous , a great way to spend a few hours.
