Celal the owner of this shop is worth a visit alone. His knowledge of his craft is incredible and he will happily share the histories, techniques and stories behind each carpet. The handcrafted and unique rugs and carpets are so much more special than a mass produced item and things to be truly treasured. Go in and have a sift through and chat - you won’t regret it :)

An amazing experience. We didn't intend to buy a carpet the same day but the one we saw was the perfect colour and size. Much better price than U.K. Celal the owner told us where it was made and how long it had taken. No sales pitch or pressure to buy.. We took our time and we are thrilled when it arrived at our door via U.P.S. Unfortunately the British government charge a tax on luxury goods from other countries. We paid U.P.S and it was delivered next day. AMAZING . Thank you Celal.

Wonderful service! Celal showed us many types of rugs! Incredible knowledge of the history of all the pieces! Served us tea and water throughout the process. Very up front and honest fair prices! I will definitely return!! I highly recommend Celal we bought 5 pieces from him.

We go to Fethiye often and always find the time to go visit the Old Orient. The carpets are beautiful and the owner is very kind and patient. Every time you visit he makes time for a talk with some turkish tea. He has a lot of experience and will have incredible stories to share.
His knowledge about his craft is inspiring! We bought our first carpets in 1998 and they are still in perfect shape! Can't wait to go back.

A positive gold mine of every type of carpet you could desire. Celal is the most attentive owner and is happy to show you exactly what you want. We spent about an hour on one day and had three carpets in mind. We went back a few days later having decided which one e wanted. Sealed the deal over tea. We noticed a small flaw in the carpet which Celal said he would fix. Ten days later the carpet arrived in UK, flawless. Outstanding service throughout from a professional who knows what he is talking about. You will not be disappointed.

My daughter and I recently spent over an hour choosing just the right carpet. Celal was excellent. Listened to what we wanted and was able to find us the perfect rug in his shop. We had it shipped home to Canada and it arrived in one week - exactly how I saw it in Fethiye. Very trustworthy. I would recommend this shop without hesitation.

Celal and his staff were terrific - very knowledgeable with no 'hard sell'. Took us three trips to buy our carpet and on each visit he was patient and kept answering our questions, letting us see the carpets and even ordering in more carpets especially for us when we couldn't quite find the style we wanted. My partner and I visited other shops in the town who really were all about the sale and made no bones about it. I highly recommend The Old Orient and Kilim Bazaar as not being one of those places!

If you are after carpets, then the Old Orient Carpet and Kilim Bazaar in Fethiye is the place to go. Fantastic place and the owner, Celal, is honest, trustworthy and has a wonderful selection of carpets. Celal happily showed us many of his carpets and without a "hard sell" approach. He was keen to understand our taste and the room context. Celal knows his business and has an excellent knowledge of the carpet industry. Highly recommended.

It’s a nice and small shop with a gentleman selling different and good quality of carpets, pillow covers, hats and few silver rings and others. Had a short visit with a wonderful explanation

hello can you tell me exactly where this shop is? is it in the bazaar withe duck pond in it near the the fish market? also my budget around £300. Ive bought before from Turkey once in Marmarus and once in a bazaar in Fethye but shop no longer there and i paid under that
