Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice boulevard where you can have breakfast and eat. The beach consists of pebbles and in the sea you have to walk carefully because there are rocks. The best thing to do is to wear swimming shoes. The sunbeds and parasol are 180tl each. You see a lot of the locals doing sports or taking a walk in the evening. The people are very friendly. The prices for food are affordable and not expensive. You also have nice shops where you can shop.

We normally stay at the Mutlu Hotel at the eastern end of Chalis Beach front. At this venue it has an open frontage that alows the sea breeze in to the pool area. Really idea when its very hot!!
Chalis beach has some good and bad points from our point of view;-
Positives;
- Many types of restaurants on the beach front and in to town to choose from. Also catering specially for the large British contingent!!
- Beautiful views of the sea front & out to see. Very calm waters especially first thing in the morning. With many local & holiday makers swimming in the sea.
- Some great shopping for T shirts, shoes, and jewelry at 'cheap as Asda' prices!!
- Great local market on the Sunday's
- Near to Fetihye town, and very inexpensive to get the local bus in to town, where there are many restaurants & shops.
Negatives
- Stony & dusty beach in its entire length. Locals seem to like it, but all have to eventually go in to the sea to wash off all the 'dirt'.
- Too many abandoned dogs (all tagged & vaccinated?) roaming the street / beach frontage. Dogs poo on the streets & on the beach, and as such you have to be careful!!! Sad to see these poor dogs left behind by their thoughtless & uncaring owners.
- It seems to us and we were told by some bar owners that there are many bars that water down their spirits, as we found out ourselves. Pity they do not have a system as we have in the UK checking the liquors. Beware -- stick to the local bottled or cask beers.
- Excellent foreign exchange rate at present, giving better spending powers, especially if you pay in £ Sterling.

Daily boat trips. Kutsal Yelken and his family will accommodate all of your requirements in a day long boat trip around Fethiye bay. You can chose where you want to go or leave it to Kutsal to take you to the best places. Very reasonably priced. We had the entire boat (which holds 15) for our party of just 6 and they took us to 4 bay/island retreats from 10 till 5, where we swam in the clear blue sea in bays where you can see the bottom , Very safe, and they hosted a BBQ on board for lunch - all in at the price, superbly cooked and presented by Kutsal's mum. Bar on board with excellent range of cold alco and non alco drinks. Fabulous day - our highlight of the week, and very reasonably priced. You can book Kutsal from any of the promenade ticket sellers who obviously take a cut, so call direct to cut out the middle man. Perfect English spoken.

Although we stay in Hisaronu, we make sure that we always go to Calis for a couple of lunches.
We go over on the water taxi from Fethiye. A mini cruise in itself
for 20tl return.
Usually we stroll along the seafront before settling in one of the
numerous restraunts along the way. Bambu is a favourite.
Food is excellent, drinks cheap and the people watching ideal.
Perfect for a slow day out

We never tire of coming here on holiday. There is always something to do, things to see. The beach and front walking area are kept clean. Plenty of places to eat, suitable for everyone’s pocket.

Its really nice coastline, the view in sunny day is stunning. You can come here alone, couples or family it doesn’t matter. Its full with friendly cats and dogs around here.
Sunsets here is something else.
I don’t recommend to choose first restaurants what you see, rather go all the way by seaside till sundia hotel and choose what you like on the way back, there is plenty of options.

This place has everything you would need for a great holiday for couples or families.. Great Bars and Restaurants along the boardwalk that offers an awesome view anytime of day of the beach and Mediterranean also with souvenir and clothes shops so close, there are Dolmus (bus) service available into Fethiye every 10 minutes, with taxis available at anytime.

We love getting the water Taxi(Dolmus bot) from Fethiye 10tl each way. Such lovely views both day and night, look out for Kingfishers whilst passing along the canal. Once at the terminus , there is a choice over the bridge to the beach or turn right for bars shops and restaurants. Dolmus and Taxi’s run from this road back to Fethiye if you prefer. If you choose the beach option then you have the choice of many restaurants ,a long promenade which follows the stoney beach. There are sun-beds. To the left you can wander to the Saat beach club. To the right you can just keep going, water sports always seem to be on the go! Plenty of places to stop and replenish eat and watch the world go by. There are plenty of Hotels also if you choose to stay on this side of Fethiye bay. There is a market on Sundays if you fancy a haggle! Great Sunsets from here, Clouds permitting.
