Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I admit I don’t understand my motivation for visiting the Sogo Department Store. I am not a shopper by nature and I really had no interest in buying anything. Nevertheless the fact is that I visited. Of the 17 numbered floors, I took the escalator up to the fourteenth floor (the top two floors are occupied by a health club), and down again. I also visited the food court and “supermarket” on one of the basement floors. A truly unimpressive visit.

This Sogo is smaller than other Sogo emporia, mainly sells local brands, nice service. Food court is good. For younger customers probably prefer to visit other places nearby

A nice shopping mall in Sanduo area, but unfortunately it does not have the varieties of items that Taipei Sogo has. Not crowded. The supermarket is very small, but the staff are very helpful towards my friends who are looking for a specific snack.s

We came here on a weekday lunchtime and we were quite surprised to find that there were not many people here when we were expecting lunch crowd. We ended up going to another mall with more crowd for lunch.

We stayed at sanduo area, so this is our first Shopping stop. Excellent shopping Spree because they are having a big sale this month. It will be excellent if the Sales staff would have reminded us on the tax rebate we entitled. Only on the 2nd day of shopping then we were being reminded by another staff on the tax rebate we were eligible. But not allowed to claim anymore for yesterday's purchases. What a pity!
Reminder for all overseas visitors, bring along your passport, do your tax rebate for any purchases of twd2000 and above, instant claim your rebate in cash at the customer service.
But must be done within same day of purchase.

There is a food court and you can try different Taiwanese food. But other than that, it is just another Sogo with prestigious mall and not an attraction for tourists.

Kaohsiung mall, another one again, this one is close to a busy place, where at night plenty of people's walk around. The mall as nothing special, when you visit one , they all look like... This Sogo is same as dream mall and others. They dont have anything special expect its well placed close to night market and busy shopping street.

Get your Japan brands skincare products here! Lookout for sale periods with good bargains. This departmental store is extinct in Singapore, worth a visit should you be in Kaohsiung!

Sogo is a 7 minute walk from Sunshine Kaoshiung hotel. This must be the first Sogo I've went to which does not have a supermarket in the basement. Instead we just bought some gifts to bring home to Hong Kong. The basement has a wide range if fast food establishments as well as their well known delicacies. It has a heavy traffic but cleanliness is always maintained just like the Sogo department store in Hong Kong. Sad though that they don't have a supermarket just like Hong Kong or Taipei. Since I have to buy something. Anyway, it still carries the trademark of being a good Japanese department store.

A typical Japanese department store transplanted in Taiwan. Food court in the basement level albeit small compared to the food courts of department stores in Japan. A great selection of brand name merchandise if that is your taste. Very handly location in the Sanduo shopping district. About five minutes from the subway station.
