Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Positioned right on the street corner, as everyone is going about their daily activities, is this simple structure, where anyone is free to drop in & offer a moment of prayer.

A small temple that is not very notable, you’ll doubtless walk by while touring the Fort. Stop for a moment, take your shoes off, walk in, and spend a few moments. That’s all you need.

Inside the Fort there is also this nice Buddhist Temple.
It is quite interesting and has an attractive stupa.
Anyway, it's major attraction is the quite big reclining Buddha.

This was the best of the many temples we visited over our 4 weeks in Sri Lanka. Really attractive building externally with some beautifully decorated areas internally. Many buddhas including a large reclining statue. As with all Buddhist temples you need to be appropriately dressed, no knees or shoulders showing for mon or women.

I like the way this temple fits into what is otherwise an old colonial area of a city. The stupa is on a street corner, the whole thing is easy to access. Dont forget to take off your shoes.

An old small Budha temple located inside the galle fort. They have nicely maintained this place and you can stop over during your fort visit.

Did a causal visit . The Chief monk gave me a great welcome. Talked about Buddhism and history of the temple . Got a bleeding thread after chanting.

Wasted a considerable amount of time looking for this temple which certainly isn't where it's shown on the TA map.

Forget it. Concentrate on easier to find locations. How frustrating and how wasteful on ones time.
