The New York State Museum does an excellent job of educating visitors. Always loved the mastadon. The 911 exhibit is very emotional. Although they have a childrens section, I think young kids would be bored. Even a quick walk through will take an hour, so...More

Once you park, you are on your own learning and seeing for yourself what makes NY a major part of our culture. There is even a 9/11 display that will break your heart.

Very educational for all ages. I especially love the Discovery area for children, very “Hands on”! And it’s all free!

Very manageable museum for one or two day visit. Lots of things of interest to kids and adults. Parking is a little crazy, but not terrible. Well worth stopping by if you are in the Albany area.

A great place to find many interesting exhibits. The 911 exhibit is so touching. And the kids loved the subway car and Sesame Street.

This museum was a lovely surprise. We were driving through Albany and had some extra time and this museum did not disappoint. The 9/11 exhibit was extremely moving and well done. Overall the museum had interesting exhibits and there was a lot to see!
