The road to the factory is both dramatic and beautiful with tea plantations on your way. Either park at the top in a fairly spacious car park or drive down to the main car park.
The building on the main road is undergoing a major refurbishment but the rest of the factory is open.
The factory is a self guided tour and worth doing, followed by a break at their cafe and their small shop.
On a clear day the views are outstanding but watch out when it rains!

After climbing the route that takes us to the top of the morn blanc route we stopped to visit the Factory, there was a broken machine so production was stopped. We had a cup of local vanilla tea. 90 rupees for tea alone... It seems a bit excessive given that the boutique had the whole box for less... They have various types of desserts and cakes and also a couple of quick dishes for lunch. The view you can see from up there is beautiful. Public bathroom quite tidy.
We reached it with the local bus, number 14 which leaves from Victoria bus station, with a 10 rupee ticket.

The road up to Mourne Blanc is dramatic with the mountain on one side, the purple ocean on the other. Factory was not worth the trip. Completely empty this day. Only few persons packing tea bags. Entrance fee only 35r/pp so what can you demand? Small shop for tea outside. Dont miss the short but very nice walk in the plantation area. Continue 100m up the hill from the factory sign on the main road. On the right side is an info board. Some 15min scenic walk. There is a bus stop precisely where the train starts.

The view from up here is magnificent. But there was nothing exciting to learn about tea cultivation in the Seychelles, as there seemed to be no guided tours.
The small shop was open, the cafe was not, but about 6 buses full of tourists from Aida showed up... and that is definitely too much for this small place.

What can I say about this place? Not a lot to be honest. Came on Saturday but it was closed for the tour. So came back in the week. Only to be told tea factory that the tea dryer was broken. But you can see the packing which consisted of 3 or 4 ladies sitting next to a small machine weighing the tea bags and boxing them. It was like watching paint dry as exciting as chocolate tea pot. I can’t believe even the pictures on the wall was like a child’s scrapbook. Why not put dates under each picture?? Why not have a tea tasting part ?? No clue how to run a business?? . Then we sat and had tea . Which even put me off to buy from the shop. Please tell me why can’t the black tea can’t be loose leaf?? You guessed it a tea bag . Cakes were good . You can see why this business is suffering and I worry for its long term success

We took bus 14 up to the Tea Factory. When we arrived, we were greeted by all staff. The lady at the café was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. The citronella tea and banana bread was exceptional. Overall we had a good time and I advise anyond else dropping by to sit down and have a cup of tea.

The tea factory on Mahe, Seychelles, offers a great experience. The encounter with old tea processing equipment provides insights into history. The tea tasting delights with diverse, exquisite aromas. The breathtaking view of the mountains and ocean rounds off the visit perfectly. A must for tea lovers and nature lovers alike. The friendly staff and the sustainable commitment of the tea factory are impressive. Unique memories on a paradisiacal island!

We were riding the car with no destinations, just to see the surroundings and we found out the factory. We were in no factory before so for us it was nice. It’s and old factory, not much to see but we enjoyed the tea here (vanilla ice tea) and the chicken & chips. The view is really nice.

The view was lovely. And the old photos of Princess Anne's visit were interesting. But, it was not even operating as a tea factory anymore. It's a tea bag packing factory, but it was nothing special to see. The old machines which were no longer operating were interesting.

Couldn’t order a cup of tea. Not open for inspection. Four people sitting around doing nothing. Rude receptionist. Don’t bother.
