Geeting around Batam Island was either by calling a taxi, a Gojek or 'chauffeured' by local friends. From Palm Springs from where I stayed to Barelang Bridge it was 45mins to an hour journey. I was in my son's friend's car so there were stops...More

Nice place and view when sunset time. Be mind that, it is hard to find taxi, grab or Gojek when you wanna back to town. Be advise to ask driver to wait.

We had to drive across the bridge to get to the kelong restaurant for our dinner. On both sides, you'll see the sea and nothing else. Other than that, the bridge is just two spans or arches long.

Barelang bridge is definitely worth visiting, a beautiful bridge overlooking calm blue sea and small islands south of Batam. There are actually six bridges connecting these islands, but the Barelang is the most significant one.

Just a bridge. Nothing to do, only to take photo. At the 2nd island, there’s some local stalls selling food and drinks. Bridge was also near Harris barelang resort and seafood restaurants (really long, slight bumpy, hilly drive in from main road).

Barelang fishing pond is much further than the Barelang bridge. Search for "barelangfishing" official website, the site has a section "Transport and Location"
