    Not good for swimming
We are staying nusa dua and walked about 30 minutes down the road and along the beach, dodging bad pathways and people trying to sell us just about everything because I thought it would be a good way to explore! We got so hot and tired. We arrived at the main part of this beach where the huge resorts have the set areas for them and trespassers are marched off. So we didn’t know where we were allowed to sit and rest or not. We had lunch at one of the very overpriced restaurants just to enjoy the beach at low tide which was not swimsble and no one was even wading in the water. Sea urchins apparently. As an Aussie, we swim in the ocean so this was a bit of a bummer. I’d go have a look in the area and keep going. We went back to our own resort on the other side of the main road and had a swim in the pool.

One of the better beaches in Bali, good for families
One of the better beaches in Bali, less crowded and overrun. Also quite clean and serene. However many hotels line the beachfront so in some areas there is lots of activity and noise, beach front restaurants etc, other areas are more quiet, a bit of everything. Nusa Dua is a very family friendly and safe area.

    Swim & sand
Calmer water to swim. Light beige soft sands. Good for kids to build sandcastles. Lots of eateries and shops yet still feel less crowded than Kuta. Within walking distance to Bali Collection shopping center.

OK beach in an unscale area
Nusa Dua is the most expensive area in Bali, It's full of luxury hotels, many of them on a hill overlooking the ocean. Is the beach then as good as the hotels? Well, the answer is no. The beach has vey calm, very shallow water with no waves. The seaweed that lives on the ocean floor makes wading in the water unpleasant, so at least bring water shoes. The water is cooler than that at Sanur beach, and I think the ocean currents bring more rubbish here, which is constantly being cleaned by the army of workers hired by each of the hotels. Also, the hotels here are pretty secluded and exude a resort rather than a hotel experience.

    Nice View
During my journey to Bali by myself, I spent a day exploring Nusa Dua Beach and the surrounding area. This beach is relatively quiet, and there aren't any rowdy tourists or partygoers to be seen here. The sea is perfectly transparent, and there are numerous restaurants along the water's edge where one may unwind with a Bingtag while taking in the sights and sounds of the surf waves. When the tide is low, it is possible to walk a significant distance into the water without even getting your knees wet. Be wary, for there are lobster caverns that will appear as the tied pulls back. You may watch the fishermen as they go out and catch the day's fresh lobster right before your very eyes. I went for a swim in the ocean just before the low tide, and while I was there, I was pricked by a baby lobster. It is highly recommended that you do the complete picturesque walk along the waterfront and go to the peninsula island that is connected to Nusa Dua Beach. On the eastern side of the island of Bali is a beach that is pleasant and has not been marketed.

    Esplanade walking Beautiful
Every morning from a resort down south end did a brisk exercise walking as sun rose. Started with walk through Bali Collection to path heading north alongside beach. Passing that funny Blowhole (need to pay?) feature and along central large resorts like Mulia etc. Turned back when arrived at Holiday Inn Resort up top of main path. Pandemic signs apparent with some remembered resort areas shut or restaurants gone. A pretty track to walk while sun rises. No hawker sellers like alongside Kuta beach. Relaxing.

    Nyepi Weekend
We woke early every morning to walk along the beach but unfortunately most days were overcast and even rainy except for the 12th when we had a sunrise view. Well maintained walking path along the foreshore. Beach is clean and our walks were mostly at low tide. No noise or people to disturb the serenity.

Nice beach. East facing. Lots of hotels and restaurants around. Sand is nice with some litter. Waves can be big. Lots of police that we saw.

Nusa dua is the only beach in the island, according to my opinion, that you can swim a little and enjoy the beach.
It is in front of many big hotels.
I didn't went to Melasti beach to compare it.

we relaxed on Nusa Dua beach while enjoying a bottle of Bintang beer with friends, this was an extraordinary experience to be able to play at Nusa Dua beach, the place was clean and comfortable and we could also see the big waves crashing on the edge of the cliff, so we were very happy to come here😁

This beach is a beautiful place to hang out for a day or half a day. We got two beds for 100,000, for the day (about $10).
We used the second cafe on the left as you enter the n beach. Sadly I forget the name. The service there, and too your beach bed was excellent and as frequent as you liked. Large vintage 35,000 (3.5$.).
The chicken sates were the best we have had in Bali by far. And the other food was great too. All at super low cost. Brilliant. The sea was calm and shallow and enough beach to take a long stroll.

Nice place, warm water. For leisure it's a great choice. We spent there 10 days and had a really good time. There are some good restaurants at the beach.

Nusa Dua is a lovely long stretch of sandy beach. The beach is mainly catered for 5*hotel-guests. Too bad about the plastic pollution floating around in the sea and on the beach. Keep this beautiful island clean people!
