MUST visit in Agra. Make sure to get a guide
It's a huge fort with a lot to learn about the Mughals. Make sure take a guide. You will get a guide for around 1k here and it's worth it. You will realise how amazing the architects used to be 500 years ago. MUST VISIT

    A breathtaking place
Huge and magnificent. We went to Taj Mahal first and felt a certain sense of emptiness on leaving and never being able to see it again, so you can imagine how delighted we were to come here and have a real treat and see it again. This place is steeped in romance and beauty. (There are toilets here and if you book Taj Mahal online I think you can book this at the same time. I'd recommend as I believe it's cheaper)

    Sights & Sounds of Agra!
An amazing complex to visit with such fascinating history and stories! We recommend always having a good guide to negotiate and move you around the most important parts of any ‘sight / site’ visit! Our guide @sunnyur_travelpartner #sunnyur_travelpartner has been fantastic for all our tours, also including: The Taj Mahal and the Baby Taj!

    Impressive Mughal Fort Complex
This huge fort is made of the Mughal’s fave building materials, red sandstone and marble. There are large spaces where visitors would have petitioned publicly and privately. There are fine marble pavilions, and great views from the walls, including the Taj Mahal just down river. There aren’t too many artefacts although the huge Jahangir’s bath tub is hard to miss. There is also the grave of the governor of the north west who died here during the mutiny in 1857. There are intricate marble screens and lovely decoration inside the pavilions. It’s an extensive site, so you’ll need a fair time to explore it properly.

    Grand Agra Fort
Agra Fort is a good place to visit of history and architecture interests you. We opted for a guide from our hotel which we now realise we should have taken one directly at the fort as the charge was almost double. However if one is not interested in knowing the history of the place, a visit without guide would do. About 20% of fort is open to public rest is under army control per our guide and this 20% itself took us about 30 to 45 mins. Entrance ticket of Rs 50 for Indians, cameras and phones are allowed. Fort closes at 5 or 5.30 in the evening. Be careful of pickpockets and people trying to sell or force you to buy things when stepping out. Grand architecture and well maintained fort.

    Stunning
Well worth a visit. Spent about an hour exploring, fantastic architecture and history. Very crowded but easy to get in and explore. Suggest best way to avoid the queues is to visit with an organized tour. Great attraction.

    beautifull fort
There is a strict policy against bringing baggage inside. The fort is considered to be among the best in India. To explore the full interior space will require us to walk for forty to sixty minutes. There is a checkpoint for security located at the entrance.

Recommended tourist spot in Agra (2nd to the Taj!)
Quite good tourist spot with ample to see inside (1-2 hours worth) with several different historical sites inside! I would recommend major change in the entry procedure (long waiting ques even if you have a pre-booked ticket!). Go for the history, the monuments, the views!

Travelers BEAWARE of Meena Bazaar scam
The fort is filled with History please make sure to take a guide with you to help appreciate the details. Travelers BEAWARE: While the tour guide (official guide with ID) was good, he recommended us to check out the Meena Bazaar for souvenirs like marble boxes, leather accessories and shawls etc along with Mini Taj. He booked a Tuktuk for us too. please do not go here as all the prices are hiked by 40% and upwards. The tuktuk driver also gets a commission of this. You can get these souvenirs once you go to Taj as they have more reasonable prices in the shops nearby

    Beautiful Fort in Agra
Beautiful red-colored fort 10-mins away from Taj Mahal. This place is quite clean as compared to Amer Fort in Jaipur. Not many photographers like in Amer Fort and Taj Mahal. So, you can freely take photo on your own.

This was a beautiful fort. We visited early to beat the crowds and we were successful as the buses were arriving when we were leaving.

There were a lot of rooms, halls, courtyards and some beautiful marble work. There were signs next to almost everything explaining what you were looking at. There were many parts that were closed. We did not go inside the mosque. There were some views of Taj Mahal but there was a lot of smog so it was not a pretty sight.

Views are good but could be more atractions or artifacts around not only blocks of walls.
In the garden was good place to sit and relax from the heat

Interesting location full of history which needs to be researched first or get a good guide. Worth a couple of hours and it's very close to the Taj.

Agra fort is worth a visit if you are in Agra. The sprawling fort with its huge darwaza and a rich history would woo you. And if you can, don't miss seeing the seesh mahal. You will see some wonder to last you a lifetime.

I could say that if you’ve seen one Fort in India, you’ve seen them all because the intricate designs are a pattern in every one of them. Nevertheless, this fort is well work a visit, but hire a guide who can share some history about the design and various sections. It won’t disappoint.

After visiting the Taj Mahal, I was surprised when my Guide told me that I had to pay the 600 INR entrance fee. Thought it was already included in the Agra Tour Package that cost me $120.00!

There are several small palaces to visit inside the Red Fort. They were constructed in honor of the family members of the Royal Family. Took some pictures here.

Taj Mahal can be seen from the distance from here when it is sunny and not foggy. Highly recommended to visit.

We enjoyed an amazing and fascinating visit to this site, with our excellent guide, Pradeep, who also showed us around the Taj Mahal earlier in the morning. An impressive history and a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal. This is worth devoting a couple of hours of your time. We used Crystal India Holidays.
