There is no gigantic temple structure available but once you reach there you feel the inner peace. This is besides river periyar and the temple gets waterlogged if there is heavy rainfall. I went on Maha shivaratri and needless to say it is quite crowded.

The Siva Temple on the bank of Periar River situated in Aluva, Kerala.Very traditional Temple. Very cool atmosphere and bathing facility is available.Maintained very neat and clean.Must visit once in a life time.
