Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once the scene of military parades by the European colonial powers, this 4 acres field in central Fort Kochi is now used as a public sports venue. Occasionally there are cultural events, but most of the time youngsters are playing football or cricket here. I especially liked the enormous trees all around in the area.

This is not a tourist place as it is just a ground where you can see children playing here and there. Some better places are nearby such as Jawahar Park.

Okay, this is not a touristical sight but the place where locals come to play football or cricket. And that's why you should come as well. Along the ground are a few nice cafes as well in case you need an extra reason to visit.

This ground was the grougnd used for miltary parade and drills by the Dutch, British and Portuguese during their rule and the building around the ground used to serve as their miltary offices. Now this ground is the largest open area in Fort Kochi and people irrespective of their ages either treat this as a place to spend some time in the tree shades or for their sports activity. We can see small groups of local people gathered and discussing in the evenings and few times while I was there, I just sat by the side of the ground in the shade enjoying the gentle breeze.

We could not miss the Parade ground as it was outside Malabar House hotel where we stayed with St Frances Church, of Vasco de Gama fame, at the other end opposite the Chinese fishing nets.

Not sure how this is even listed, but it's just a large flat and in parts muddy square section of dirt.

Wouldn't bother going out of your way to see it, it was near the place a stayed.
