Kiteloop Egypt Experience is a kitesurfing Camp located in Ras Sudr on the west coast of Sinai on the Red Sea, a mere 2 hours drive away from Cairo (Egypt).
Kiteloop Camp offers 10 spacious Caribbean styled beachfront bungalows nestled along a stretch of turquoise sea. With only a few steps from the restful and airy ambience of your bedroom to the warm sands and pristine waters, you are guaranteed to be energized ahead of an exciting day of kite surfing along the lagoon accompanied by dolphins.
Ras Sudr is a relatively undeveloped stretch of coast with ideal kite surfing conditions, suitable both for beginners and avid surfers, with almost all year round kite surfing weather. Mouth-watering Egyptian cuisine will be served on the beach, beneath swaying palm trees with the panoramic sea view as the perfect backdrop, cooked to order by our talented Chef. In the evening join fellow campers under the starry skies for a cozy and relaxed evening.
The beautiful stretch of virgin beach offers open sea conditions; the area is sandy, safe with shallow areas ideal for practicing those loops. Kiteloop’s friendly and skilled Level 2 IKO certified instructor guide trainees through one of the most adrenaline packed sports suitable for all ages and we guarantee that after spending a day with Kiteloop’s professional Instructor(s) trainees end-up showing off their own tricks. Advanced surfers will enjoy the almost all year round perfect kite surfing weather that will ensure this becomes a home away from home. The camp is managed/owned by a team of passionate kite surfers who are keen to introduce this adrenaline filled sport to Egypt and provide international surfers with a new all year round destination.
With minimal tourism, Ras Sudr offers beaches and waters that are undiscovered, making this the perfect weekend getaway, a relaxed vacation or an action-packed week for adrenaline junkies. Whoever you are, Kiteloop Camp is exactly what you are looking for so book your stay now and let us take care of the rest ;)
Equipment rental and sale is also available through the school.
Affiliations (Partnerships) --> Level 2 IKO certified instructors are available for beginners courses, refresher sessions or for advanced training at the camp's on-site school.
Spot
Beautiful sand with sea shells. Lots of space. The long coastal strip curves windward in Ras Sudr, creating a bay and stretches further and further out into the water for a kilometer, forming sandbank, before receding again.
Wind
Ras Sudr is sunny all year round with slightly colder temperatures between Nov-Jan. For updated forecasts and wind forecasts please refer to WindGURU. Good wind from spring to autumn. Can be good in winter but not as consistent as in summer. The wind can blow sideshore across the wide sandbank and there are no gusts or turbulence. The North to Northeast wind blows sideshore and gains force during the morning, reaching its maximum around midday. Towards the end of the afternoon, the wind generally dies down again. Normally, in the morning there's a light breeze and flat water.

Now to be fair, the food was decent even though it was basic. The place is housed by 2 dogs (pugs) that just kept sticking to us wherever we went. That was a bit annoying. The beach is sandy up to the point where you have the water touching the sand, then it turns into hard rocky structure that is inconvenient to walk barefoot, so you cannot enjoy the sea nor a swim without bearing a long painful walk to get some depth. The rooms are relatively modern for Ras Side area hostels, yet the toilets do stink of sewers, and this problem was in more than 1 room. To enjoy the beach and holiday, we only spent the night at the hostel stargazing (which was more than nice) and the days at another hostel to use their sandy beach.
Booking was really weird: after searching online we found a mobile number for the hostel but the guy answering couldn't help nor wanted to share availability, rather he wanted us to book via Facebook probably to have someone assess who we were, fine, although not really a nice way! We sent the FB request a d the reply came back that they were busy "but let me check"; as if I'm asking a teenage for a chance to attend her home party :) later I got a reply of availability and the need to make a bank deposit if I wanted to keep my booking. Upon arrival and throughout my stay there were only 3 or 4 rooms occupied including ours! I thought: what a childish attitude to play guests! I don't think I'll ever stay there again.

I was there to take the introductory course but I also enjoyed the nature, the service and the welcoming attitude of the owners. Even at evenings, you can bring your drinks and enjoy the very relaxed mood.

One of the worst and horrible places I've been to in Egypt:
- High prices for accommodation and food, even if you reserved a half-board accommodation they will tell you that you can order your lunch with a maximum limit of 60 LE, putting in consideration that most of the food in the menu is over priced. (e.g. Teheena salad for 40 LE)
- The people there weren't friendly and they have the attitude of that what we have accept it or leave.
- The sea is not good for swimming.
- The beach is full with rocks and pebbles and you can't enjoy sitting or walking on it. (I would prefer Sinai or even El sokhna)
- The food quality and flavor was horrible (They add cucumber to the pizza)
- Air condition in my room only wasn't working (It seems no regular maintenance there)
The only advantage:
- Kite surfing games was good although the price is overrated (I would prefer going to the Moon beach resort they were much more welcoming and their price is reasonable)

I went to Kiteloop Egypt Experience this past June and I absolutely loved it! I have never attempted to camp out because most outdoor / beach camps are for those who enjoy nature and do not mind living without AC, actual beds, equipped bathrooms, etc. I LOVE nature but I can not go without these so the fact the kiteloop huts were equipped with AC, TV, beds, and beautiful bathrooms encouraged me to go camping and I plan to go every time I visit Egypt. We stayed at the camp for 3 days. The atmosphere of the camp is very relaxing and the nature view is very charming! During the day we enjoyed our water activities and at night we enjoyed chilling and relaxing under the stars. The staff of kiteloop are very professional and helpful, I would recommend this for group of friends or for couples.

Went there for 2 nights . The idea of the ras sedr experience is to be quiet, calm amd by the sea. Kiteloop provides this. The rooms are basic but spacious and clean. 2 beds with a small fridge and a place to hang your clothes. There is a well functioning a/c in the room. The bathroom is clean but water pressure was always low so it was a bit annoying to wash out sand when i showered
The beach is small but very calm and quiet. What I did not like is too many rocks at the begining of the sea . I heard in other resorts they remove the rocks to have the sea shore smooth to walk through
The staff is super nice. They have cute little dogs that live there( an english bull dog and a pitbull and one more).
Food is basic and ok ( breakfast is ommlettes white cheese and foul beans). We ordered pizza and tuna salad for dinner those were FINE but not amazing

My favorite place to chill and relax, such a quite and fun place. The cabins are perfect they look like guys from the outside and are fully equipped from the inside with Air conditioning and clean toilets. The vibe is great and the people are so friendly.

I have been to Kiteloop not once or twice but many many times. This place is by far the best place to be if you want a 2 hours drive from Cairo to a location that you can switch off your head and enjoy the sun and sea. The vibe in Kiteloop is very cozy and friendly. The staff and team there always make you feel welcomed and accommodate your needs. You always leave this place with a new friend or two...It is also a kitesurfing spot so you can take the course if you're into that. The rooms are all wooden huts that are very simple but very clean with a bathroom and AC and TV. This has been my favorite spot in Ras Sudr for the past three years. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice quiet change with the possibility of making new friends and enjoying other people's company.
