While in Shaoxing, we visited a Lu Xun native place. It is a large complex of historical buildings with LuXun memorial, gardens, and house where LuXun lived. Admission is free, with photo ID provided.

The area is often ripe with the smells of "smelly tofu", it's takes some getting used to. There's a lot to see, while note super exciting from the perspective of visuals and such, it's an incredibly rich representation of the history. I've been there many...More

It‘s an interesting place with a lot of history but I see interesting places in my life. But when you stay longer in Shaoxing it‘s nice to see.

Quite touristy but worth visiting; an informative and charming place in the heart of old Shaoxing. Good place for purchasing souvenirs, too.

Well maintained family home/complex of the writer Lu Xun. At a cost of 0 RMB, the price was certainly right. Interesting to discover a writer that had so much insight into the coming changes in China - indeed, maybe even help generate those changes. Clearly,...More

Nicely preserved, free of entry charges. Nothing breath taking, but on non-crowded days, this offers an interesting glimpse into life of a period past. I like the gardens around the house better than the interiors though.
