Located near DuFu Cottage, the museum has a number of nice exhibit spread over three floors. Not just a history museum, but also a cultural museum. If you like strolling through museums, this is worth a visit but I personally preferred the Chengdu Museum.

Nice place with three-floors. Each of the place has it's own theme. The air condition was just nice to us, because the outdoor was like burning. We spent more than two hours there. Worth to visit here and learned history.

Despite being housed in an ageing building, the collection at the Sichuan Museum is world class! Exhibiting artifacts going back thousands of years, the museum showcases the cultures that developed locally, both before subjugation by Han Chinese and afterwards, when the people living in the...More

Due to the vacation period of May 1, it was very crowdy in the museum. Not easy to look after the artifacts.

My overall score is four stars: Definitely interesting, well worth time and effort. I’d rate this a very good museum. It has an interesting collection of ceramics, bronzes, stone sculpture, stretching over two millennia dug up from around Sichuan province. Many pieces are very beautiful,...More
