Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a house built in 1902 and converted into an art museum. It is a little on the smaller side but it is free! The staff are friendly and when we went there was a guide that spoke English and was sharing all kinds of information about the area like the museum and how the tram worked!

Some of the prints in the gift shop are made by an artist down the road and are sold in a couple shops. The translation of the main shop where he works is called Bear Cub Book Store.

The 201 tram stops nearby and it is a short walk from the Dalian Railway Station. Plan to spend about an hour here but more for the Russian Street.

Checked this place as one of the places to visit in Dalian , unfortunately we were not allowed to enter . We could not understand why we can’t enter - communication barrier. Could have been helpful if they have english translation of why you are not allowed to enter at that particular time. The building has a nice exterior though. And walking from this pkace , we found out that this was within the vicinity of the Russian street where you have nice architectural buildings.

This art gallery is at the southern end of Russian Street in a big, old, Russian-style building. The gallery features contemporary Chinese artists in a 100 year old house from the time Dalian was a Soviet city.

I was on the tram 201 and decided to alight when I saw this unique building at ShengLi Bridge just one stop after the railway station. I discovered that it is the Art Gallery and I could not enter as I did not have my passport with me. Anyway the Russian street is just next to it.

This was beautiful! It houses over 2000 different kinds of paintings, both oil and watercolours! There are some revolutionary arts immersed in the paintings as well. However, I loved to see the sculptures not only of the dino fossils, but also the moai statue. Overall, great.

This is now used as a museum but what attracts the eyes of the travellers is the beautiful redbrick bulding with some turrets. It's a very photogenic place in Dalian. There is a security check at the entrance. This is a very small museum, but if you do not have enough time, you can just look at the building.
