This garden is near the Humble Administrator's Garden in the centre of Suzhou, compared to the first garden it is quite small, but in some ways all the more fascinating for that. A lot of different rocks, you almost feel if you are in a...More

Lots of rock formations around a beautiful pond. Very scenic and a great place to visit. We loved the ambience and recommend a visit here. We were lucky that there was no real crowd. A light rain was actually helpful. Well worth the time to...More

The Lion Forest is an artificial rock "forest" with a narrow path going through the rocks. It's quite challenging to go through especially when there's a crowd, but very interesting.

This garden is stunning in its design. While not massive, you can get lost orientating your way around the rocks. The free map is much needed. We went in October and while busy, it was still easy to find a quiet place to sit and...More

Nice place to walk around, but not if you have a infant / baby / toddler who needs to use a stroller...there are many steps / uneven rocky ground to traverse, so I would definitely use a baby carrier if you have one. Takes a...More

I loved stumbling on this place. We were at the Suzhou Museum and walking back to the subway when we walked past this. The rock formation in the middle of this place almost seems from another planet. It's beautiful. They have traditional Chinese buildings and...More

It was a long day seeing the many spectacular gardens of Suzhou. After a very late lunch the family was tired and very much on garden overload. Still, though, the Lion Grove was nearby and based on what we read, this one was small and...More
