Very long street that runs along a canal with lots of small shops selling tea, art, souvenirs, snacks and a few restaurants. Lots of old bridges/architecture to take pictures of. Everything was reasonably priced, some good spots to take pics and some very quiet side...More

Pingjiang Road is your typical Chinese tourist place with many shops to look at as you walk down the street. It is something I would experience if you are new to Suzhou and China. For those that have been in China for a while or...More

We stayed in an AirB&B located just off PingJiang street so that we could experience it during the morning hours as well as the more crowded evening/night time. Lovely place to take a walk along the canal as well as make side-trips to the other...More

Fascinating and tacky, charming and kitsch kaleidoscope of food, fashion, souvenirs, art and more. Of course it's designed to part you from your money but that is a willing separation because of the goods on offer, the sophistication of the window displays and the shop...More

Lovely narrow street full of shops selling Suzhou souvenirs and restaurants serving local food. Some are located next to the river canals and are really nice.

This is a must-see during a visit to Suzhou. This ancient street along the canals, is usually thronged wit people... so take your time to enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants along your walk. Lovely, buzzing chaos!

Great way to spend an idle hour in suzhou. Start at one end and wander along the canal and when you get tired of the tourist shops, head down another canal and side alleys. Very picturesque.

They are a bit like crab apples in the uk. Sour and then covered in molten sugar a bit like mini toffee apples.
