Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I forgot how much the tickets were but I remember paying RMB15 for the car ride inside the park. It was too hot to walk all the way.....Included in the entrance ticket, you could get a picture taken at the designated spot.
There were many shops and eateries around. Nice "smaller" parks for you to rest and enjoy the view. We took many beautiful pictures of Sanya here. There was also 2-3 deer in captive at the park. There was also a house for the golden swallow birds down a long stairs, but can't see any swallows as it's very dark inside! Don't waste time and energy going there.
I don't like how they had put more stairs for you to climb if you want to stand beside the Luhuitou statue. It's situated up on the hill above the road that you're walking on. It wasn't like this when I came in 1992 (hehehe....) I prefer it then as no need to pay to get in and your vehicle can drive all the way up to the statue!

From the top sunset view is so amazing. But the place was too crowdy when i visit. There have also a place where you can seat with your friends or family and spend some quality time with the natural air. But all food are expensive. You can go there with free online ticket. There have also car to round the full place. Need to pay for car ride.

We bought the entrance ticket and inside the park shuttle car.Price is reasonable. You can get student discount (student in China). The car dropped us to middle of the park from where we could see the beautiful Phoenix Island. After enjoying the magnificent view of the phoenix island from the Luhuitou hill , we walked around 10 minutes to the top. On the top of the Luhuitou Hill stands a huge twelve-meter (39 feet) high granite statue of a deer with a young man and a beautiful woman at each side of it. We could see the panoramic view of the vast sea, the rolling mountains, as well as the whole Sanya City. It was pleasant to taste the cold coconut from a near by shop. There were lots of monkeys at the top so take care of your belonging properly.

A student price ticket plus the mini bus up and down the mountain would cost Rmb 40. Not much to see up the mountain except for the dear statue and the stunning view of Sanya Bay. But it’s worth the money.

Loved the views here - they are beautiful! We came to see the sun set on 2020! We caught the shuttle bus to the top rather than walk and it took about 5 minutes to get to the almost top. The walk would have been steep but punctuated with pit stops for taking in the views and vending machines. If walking, it’s pavement all the way up on a constant incline.
Once dropped off, you can continue up a bit further and climb some steps to see the deer statue (which is actually a bit tacky I think lit up in purple, but it seemed to be a real draw for the Chineese visitors) There are a few shops at the top and an opportunity to get some tat and a drink etc. The view from this vantage is stunning and we were glad we caught the sunset. Worth the trip if you love scenery.
