This small modest museum has the potential to grow big and definitely helps to delve into the UAE history and culture. I chose it over the Dubai Museum (that is still on my list!) and have no regrets. Human history lays in details and Women's...More

The Women’s Museum in Dubai was an awesome experience and very informative. My friend and I took our time reading all of the literature in each exhibit and had a great conversation with Hawra, the woman working there the day we went. It’s off the...More

This is a very small museum; but not without merit. It will take about an hour to really see the entire museum, so take the time to go without a guide. All the exhibits have English titles, so very easy to enjoy. It will give...More

This small and low cost museum exceeded my expectations. I learned so much about the United Arab Emirates and the history of women who have advocated socially, politically, economically and in education. This museum also includes everything from clothing to housewares to photos to poetry...More

We went to the Women's museum as part of a tour. It was totally worth it. Exhibits are well done and interesting. Lots of interesting facts presented and explored. Doesn't take long to tour the entire museum. We recommend.

20 Dirham entry fee high in comparison to other museums but assume it is all privately funded so necessary to be high. Interesting to see the clothing, jewellery, perfume, etc displays. Education for women has been quite recent since 1958 so a lot has been...More

I loved my visit there. I learned a lot and I felt like I could feel the power of the women that contributed to this vision.

The Women's Museum is a "hidden gem" in Dubai's cultural offerings. It is situated to the north of the gold souk in Deira, but not well sign posted (walking through the souk, turn left at 45 St, when you reach the road, turn right and...More
