The area
Neighbourhood: The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.

    Stunning Sight After Dark
Beautiful marina surrounded by modern high rises creates a stunning sight especially after dark. Plenty of expensive places to shop, eat and drink. Mama Zonia at Pier 7 was an outstanding dining experience overlooking the water. The Marina embodies the glamour and wealth of Dubai, but it also lacks something. It is clean and all newly built in the last decade or two but it feels a bit sterile and lacks authenticity probably as it doesn't have any history.

    Stunning architecture
Interesting reading the reviews now - it seems like it would be very worthwhile to go back in the evening when the lights are on. I was there in late morning, and it was almost deserted. Admittedly, it was 37 degrees, so perhaps people were staying indoors due to the heat. In any case, it was a beautiful area with interesting architecture. Use of the tram through the area was included in a metro daypass, and was a useful way of getting around, although to get to the water you will have to walk from one of the stops.

A great walk in the evening
So much happening in this place. Dinner cruises, the mall, numerous restaurants, or just watching the sights. We often take the walk when staying on Jumeirah Beach Sheraton. There is always a lot to see, and you get the benefit in the evening of it being lit up, and the temperatures being a few degrees cooler, which was very helpful in September. The only negative is the restaurant people continuing to try to get you to eat at their places. Friendly people but just so many of them!

    The best
People are so nice and very accomadating, their smile were so warmth and welcoming. Also the guy Mr.Vaibhav was so nice and told us to ask him if we needed anything else. Forgot his name but surely I will recommend this resto for my friends 👍

Lovely area but be on the look out
A beautiful area to walk around either in the day or night, but the lights make the evening experience a little more enjoyable. Loads of smart restaurants and cafes to eat and drink at and not too expensive for the area. Just two issues that we didn’t enjoy which stops me giving it 5 stars 1/ Some of the touts trying to get you to eat in their restaurant were a bit invasive and stopped a nice leisurely walk. Others are not a problem when you say you have eaten or meeting someone. Just be prepared! 2/ the second issue was a real nuisance and that is the E scooters that plague the area. They travel at some speed and you can’t here them, they also have electric buggies that are a nuisance as well. I get that it would be beneficial for people with mobility problems but this is just for fun. Please be aware of your environment as there a few near misses. Personally I’d like to see them stopped as it stops you relaxing as you walk about. Some fabulous yachts in the marina to drool over as well. There is also the marina mall which is pleasant to walk around

    Beautiful marina
The area is very beautiful. It is surrounded by skyscrapers, with a waterfront promenade, there are many restaurants (but very few also serve alcohol...). There are also a few small grocery stores where you can buy water or juice at reasonable prices. Also, there is a mall, but it is not the most beautiful in Dubai. In the evening, the employees of the restaurants trying to convince you to stop at them are a bit annoying. The area is much more spectacular and livelier in the evening.

    Cool Area
We really enjoyed our time walking around in this area. Many of Dubai's other tall buildings are here and we enjoyed the architecture and design in the area. It is worthwhile checking out a restaurant in this area to sit and enjoy the views with some good. The closest metro is DMCC and there are a few tram connections nearby. Plan to spend a couple of hours here in cooler months and more if you plan to dine here.

    Awesome!
Amazing city! Very clean, very organized! We went on business, but had the opportunity to visit The Frame, Miracle Garden, The Global Village. The best experience was a Safari trip to the Red Dessert, but the magical moment was private night yacht cruise!

A Nice Walk With Lovely Views
This is a walk recommended in all the travel guides, so we too had a wander. It had a nice breeze (as it had been very hot), nice views of the boats, the Mosque lighted up, restaurants dotting the walkway area, and lots of people strolling along. We chose to have dinner at an outdoor restaurant and ended up at a Lebanese Place. Its always hit and miss if you have not read reviews etc, and we struck it lucky. We had a very tasty dinner while watching the world go by.

A nice area to have a wander round, and it was surprisingly quiet on a sunny morning in January. There’s loads of cafes and restaurants along the waterfront so you can spend a long period of time there, and there’s plenty of spots to sit and watch the world go by. There’s the option of taking a boat ride but it didn’t appear to be a regular or frequent service. If you’re looking for somewhere with a slower pace and to relax, head here.

Beautiful walk round, as per the title.

Very picturesque and pleasant to walk along the river. You have the mall in the centre with plenty of restaurants and shops to check out.

Outside you can grab a boat tour, something we did. They’ll be a lot of people outside trying to promote boat trips - one of which we did - and we did a private cruise for two around Palm Jumeirah, despite it being very bumpy once you exit the marina and head out into open water.

The best of Dubai! The stunning skyscrapers are an engineering marvel, and the long stretch of restaurants gives you plenty of dining options. In addition, yacht tours are available for a relaxing cruise on the marina waters, all the way to the ocean. The marina is accessible by metro, just a walking distance from Sobha Realty metro station and/or Dubai Marina tram station.

This is an impressive area built around seven kilometres of manmade waterfront.

There are impressive architectural sights, loads of food and beverage outlets, the Dubai Marina Mall (including cinema), boat trip options galore and more.

"My visit to Dubai was highly professional, primarily to explore some restaurants within the group. Aside from the dining experiences, I must say, I was mesmerized by the architecture. Interestingly, if you leave your phone or car keys behind and depart, you'll find them there the next day.

I particularly loved the restaurants:
- Eat Greek
- Taverna
- Loren
- Sun
- Meat Co
- Clay

Each one offers a unique culinary experience. If you're interested, simply look them up by the names I've provided to discover the richness of flavors offered by these establishments."

Nice place by the sea with many skyscrapers but suitable for walking. There are many hotels and restaurants nearby. We were on a Saturday afternoon, there weren't many people on the streets.
