Taking a boat ride across the river is such a unique Dubai experience, this is something you have to do when in Dubai, it only costs 1AED! The views from the boat are so beautiful, I highly recommend anybody to try this. ..

After you’ve seen all the shiny new buildings of modern Dubai, this is an interesting break....but still not that different from most markets...except the gold goods section.

Local (old school) way to travel. Very interesting. Deira old souk has a lot of spice markets near the station.

The best way to arrive to the Dubai Souks is by Abra. It's so nice to take the boat over the creek and then dive into all the little shops in the Souk.

Abra ride RTA is one of the best and combinations of 2 souks in 1 Place. Abra ride is connection between Burdubai Al Bastakia Souk and Deira Souk. Only for 1 AED. Which is accessible for everyone. Highly recommendable place.

If you mean crossing the creek on one of the passenger boats, I say yes. It is safe because stepping on and off the boat is easy without any jumping or climbing involved. Once on board you can sit down. The ride is not bumpy... More
