The monument is set in the National Park and the are is surrounded by the spectacular Norfolk Island pines for which the Island is famous. The views from the monument is wonderful and some helpful information boards fill in any gaps you may have with...More

Takes a little while to get there but what scenery overlooking the ocean a long way down and the point where Captain Cook called. Great picnic spot with excellent amenities

The drive to the monument takes you to the northern end of the island. Pretty drive. When you get to the location for the monument there is plenty of parking and a short walk to the monument followed by a spectacular view of the rocky...More

It is worth while driving all the way to the north of the island to see where Captain Cook landed during his second trip . Lovely views to the small islands below.
