We did free downtown walking tour, our guide was Teodora and she was just perfect. Her English is amazing, she is funny, everithing she was telling us was so interesting. Highly recommended.

So sorry i missed your question, but for anyone else I believe the tours are 11 am and 3 pm in the main square ( republic square) everyone meets by the statue of Prince Mihailo ( man on his horse) in front of museum.

How shall I know? I arrived by bus to city and just opened a google map so I recommend you to do the same! Now goggle shows bus connections too. But I might be a walking distance too.

I think it's quite possible and you could always leave the tour earlier. My tour took 3 hours because we were a very large group....
