Fall of Yugoslavia Sarajevo War Tour

195 reviews
For history enthusiasts, unpacking the complicated past of the former Yugoslavia is no small task, and to experience this history where it took place is something else altogether. Learn all about this era on a Sarajevo tour, covering the fall of Yugoslavia and Siege of Sarajevo. Visit sights once central to the conflict, including the Yellow Fortress, Sarajevo War Tunnel (entry fee at your own expense,) and Hotel Holiday, where journalists lived during the siege.

Bascarsija is a great place to visit in Sarajevo. You can smell history in the air and if you wanna have a nice Bosnian food, this is the right place. You can buy so many nice souvenirs and if you like crowded places with good options to spend the day, this is one of them. You can take amazing pics and visit so many different restaurants and shops. Don't hesitate visiting it, you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful stay in Sarajevo, for almost a month, before a sudden departure, (due to covid-19), the highlight of the city is definitely, the old neighbourhood, we spent most of our time here just walking the alleyways, enjoying the food, (which is amazing) and the coffee houses, (a wonderful experience) we highly recommend starting a visit, with a free walking tour of the old town to get your boots on the ground. Our faves: Cock tower and bakery, (Pekara Imaret loacated within the courtyard), Bosna eatery Baklava coffee shop
