It all started with a punctual and warm welcoming pickup and ended with a great feeling of satisfaction and gratitude.
In between, Tora, our guide, took us on our Coral Coast Heritage Tour.
Tora made sure we were comfortable during the one hour drive to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes, while he amazed us with facts about the history of Fiji.
Tora offered several options for waking the dunes and guided us at ease through the hilly and sandy shore.
The second stop was at the Nakabuta village for an amazing cultural experience. We were greeted with a traditional Kava ceremony, followed by a demonstration of clay pottery, and we wrapped up with dancing and singing.
The last stop was at the Tavuni Hill for a breathtaking view of the Sigatoka river and the "salad bowl", combined with an amazing walk through history, as the local guide educated us on the tribal rituals of the past.
Before heading back to our hotel, Tora treated us to fresh papaya and made sure we were comfortable and ready for our drive back.
This day trip was perfect. It was exactly what we needed. Vinaka!
