On the 20th of September, 2024, I was given the opportunity to spend a day on the beautiful island, Tivua Island. It was a mandatory trip for one of my tourism courses in USP. It was one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. I was accompanied by my classmates, course coordinators, tourists, and crew members of Captain Cook Cruises. Sailing from Port Denarau Marina to Tivua Island was about 45 minutes long and enjoyable. When I arrived on the island, I was greeted by the astonishing scenery of it—the powdery white sand, cold waters, and many more. The service, beverage, activities, and people were amazing; the food was average; other than that, I enjoyed everything. Captain Cook Cruises provides excellent service and is always present to your needs. Overall, I highly recommend Tivua Island to everyone, especially those who are seeking relaxation and want to get away from city life.

Tivua Island is a picturesque private island in Fiji, part of the Mamanuca Islands, known for its clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. Easily reachable via boat from Denarau Marina, offering scenic views along the way. Primarily a day trip destination with beach areas, sun loungers, a bar, and traditional Fijian BBQ lunch options. some

We really enjoyed this tour. I had read a few mixed reviews and I am surprised that some people were unhappy. The boat ride was fun. 90 mins, lots of shade, great music entertainment, funny staff. The island was absolutely gorgeous. Aqua waters, white sand, good snorkelling. Lunch was tasty and there was plenty and a good variety. They also have lots of shade, proper bathrooms and several ways to entertain yourself. The only thing that I would recommend is a bar with real fruit juices. The staff were really friendly and made the trip extra fun.

Our day trip to Tivua Island was absolutely unforgettable! The island is a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling and swimming. We were greeted by a friendly and attentive crew who made sure everything was seamless, from the scenic boat ride to the delicious BBQ lunch. The snorkeling was amazing, with vibrant coral reefs and plenty of colorful marine life, including fish. There were also plenty of fun activities like kayaking and paddle boarding, and we appreciated the cultural Fijian performances that added an authentic touch. Tivua Island is a must-visit for anyone looking for a perfect day in paradise!

Trip to Tivua Island began with a cruise ride where we all were welcomed by a welcome song by the incredible team and got introduced to each of them. The cruise also offered us nice coffee and snacks, before reaching the island we all were introduced with the safety regulations regarding the island and the activities we were going to do at the island. Upon reaching the island we all traveled around the island in just 20mins after that we were severed with a buffet lunch and variety of drinks. After that we had few activities such as volleyball, snorkeling and few others. While we were returning, we aslo had fun on the cruise, the staff sang a farewell song and were said goodbye by all the staff and the captain.

It was a fantastic trip to Tivua Island with Captain Cook Cruise a pleasant and skilled crew. The captain was friendly that gave me a chance to hold the wheel which is first time ever to do. The crew created a vibrant atmosphere with music and activities to keep spirits up. When we arrived at Tivua Island, the team was helpful and prepared us for a relaxed day on the beach. I kindly request that if the supervisor or whom in charge with the washroom should check the toilet every half an hour or an hour to prevent unwanted problems. The tour was an excellent combination of beautiful landscape, interesting entertainment, and exceptional service, making it a must-see.

Captain Cook tours did an amazing job entertaining us on the way to the island. Very friendly staff! The island is the main attraction. One of the most beautifull beaches I've seen. Staff again kept us entertained and had a great BBQ lunch spread. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Boat ride is about 60-80 minutes, but the water is pretty calm so people prone to sea sickness should be ok.

This place was beautiful 🤩 Genuinely amazing. It was everything we wanted, blue skies and water, white sand and of course amazing marine life!
We went snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle boarding and on a glass bottom boat tour although there was also a spa, kayaks and nature walks.
We had accidentally booked this island twice… but it was a disguised miracle! We got to do so much.
The food was lovely, with a variety of options. (Meat, fish, veggies, bread, ect). The staff were lovely also.
We only had one negative point…
The boat (run by captain cook cruises) was 1 1/2 hours late! That means that when we were supposed to be picked up it hadn’t even left (because it’s an 1 1/2 long trip from the port.) The staff were apologetic and tired to entertain the guests until it eventually arrived. They did their best although it was still annoying. Thankfully the busses didn’t leave until we were all safely on it.
Overall it’s a gorgeous island with amazing staff, food and activities!
110% recommend to all families or solo travellers!

Everything about this tour was well organized. Having the island with a smaller group of other people makes this adventure well worth it. The beaches were amazing, the water so clear and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the glass bottom boat and the man leading it was very knowledgeable. Unforgettable experience!! Shoutout to all the crew who make this trip so fun, safe, and bubbly!

Visiting Tivua island was an absolute dream, the journey to the island was smooth, and when we got there, the most gorgeous blue waters and immaculate beaches welcomed us. it was a calm setting, ideal for exploring and unwinding. We spent the day playing volleyball, visiting coral reefs filled with a plethora of colourful fish. Not just that but, the lunch was delicious, enjoying it under swaying palm trees as it felt like a little tropical vacation. Tivua Island met all expectations overall. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to escape into nature and enjoy breathtaking views. I am eager to return!

Tivua Day cruise does cater for little ones. We do ask you bring your own floatation for the baby.

Hello. What options are available for vegetarians in food other than salad?

We offer a Singapore noodle style vegetarian dish in addition to the salads fruit and fish. Please ensure you let us know

Is it suitable for young kids as in the food options and distance. Is there plenty of shade or do you have to book? Do they corner a part off for swimming

oh!! also, there is only the glass bottom boat to worry about when swimming, no other motorised sports, so the kids are safe swimming
