Booked the wine-tasting and meal for the last night in f our South American vacation and it proved to be a fitting climax to a great trip. We turned up a little early and were pleasingly given the first of what turned out to be many glasses of wine! The wine shop occupied us while we waited for the other 4 people on our wine-tasting evening. Over the next hour we "tested our noses" by smelling a number of different flavours - most more successfully than me - and then watched a film about 5 different Chilean wines and tasted them (I did not notice anyone spitting any out). The tasting ended by the results of our smelling exam with a small price for the best of the group. Really enjoyable experience thanks massively to Lorend for her patience.

TripAdvisor needs to fix this page. We had the dinner and wine tasting, for which the TripAdvisor description is totally inadequate. The tasting experience includes five wines with some cheese and meat, while watching the movie, which was a great experience. This was followed by the dinner, which was good, but I found the overall combined package quite expensive. The wine/cheese/movie alone is an option at Vinolia for 18000 CLP, but for some reason this never shows up as an option on Tripadvisor’s website. We would have likely taken this option, had it been available.

This is a great alternative to going to one of the vineyards for wine tasting. We originally were trying to go to Concha y Toro for a tour, but we had a very tight schedule due to work, so I started looking for an option inside the city and found this place, and I’m glad I did.

They have set times for group wine tasting in a big auditorium where you not only do the wine tasting, but also get to watch some videos from experts talking about the wines you are trying. However, the fixed times were not good for us, so they also have the option of choosing to do the tasting in the wine store at anytime during the day. They have 3 different tasting available depending on which region you are interested in. We chose the Colchagua region which is the one with the highest rated wine, and it was wonderful. The sommelier that took care of us (Lorena) was very knowledgeable and gave us a great amount of information about the wines, regions and history on Chilean vineyards.

We also ordered a couple of charcuterie boards to accompany our tasting, and the quality of the meats and cheeses was great.

Overall, I highly recommend this place. You can also stay for lunch or dinner if you have the time after your wine tasting. They have a good food selection, and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Cheers!

Super fun event. You can smell flavors ahead of time. It was interesting how many flavors I didn't recognize. The wine and cheese pairings were very good

What a fantastic way to sample the region on a limited timeframe.
We found ourselves in Santiago only for a few days so a day tour of the wineries was out of the question with time restrictions so we chose to give this a go.
What a beautiful venue with a little wine shop at front and small restaurant.
The experience room was fantastic. Well layer out and very well thought out experience. The tasting being guided by the sommelier from the vineyard with a background of the vineyard and area was amazing and to be paired with a gourmet tasting was a wonderful way of tasting the wines.
All wines were so good we bought 4 of the 5 we sampled and am not sure how I will get them thru customs as yet but so worth it.
If you have limited time please give this a go it is a wonderful experience.

I read the reviews before we arrived in Santiago. Not only a great idea to visit here but helpful for the front end of our trip.

When we arrived they served us some sparking wine and snacks. Everyone was very friendly.

In fact the owner came over to us and introduced himself. We talked a little about their concept and what they feature.

When they called us in they first put everyone in the aroma room. That was a great experience because there were some. Ideas they showed and a few charts that explained what scents are typical with certain wines. The aroma room is a brilliant idea because it really helps you comprehend the different scents and flavors of wine. I can also see the aromas helping you understand scents in cologne.

After some time in the aroma room we all filtered into the theatre where the sommelier educates you about the pace of the tasting.
Basically after the sommelier speak they roll a documentary that educated you in. Hole, Chilean wine, and 5 vineyards. Each vineyard had the winemaker or owner discuss their vineyard and the wine you are about to taste in detail.

Such a unique experience. We basically in the matter of a few hours learned about aromas and visited 5 vineyards.

We elected to stay for dinner. The sommelier came over and spoke to us more and served us.
This was a fantastic experience and different way to experience a number of wines. We had 5 during the theatre, the sparking wine at the beginning and 2 more wines at dinner.

My father had lasagna for dinner and I had gnocchi. The food was served so hot it could
Burn your mouth but the hot food was appreciated.

Outside they had some gas heaters to warm the area. The ambience outside for dinner was excellent. It was a good vibe because there were 7 or 8 other groups soaking in the ambience.

This is a great complement to visiting vineyards and you can really learn about a number of vineyards in a short period of time.

Vinolia has taken time to plan out their process and seem to pay attention to the little details. For example, they provide a little
Pencil and notepad so you can take notes on each wine.

I liked it so much I wanted to go back and visit another wine region.

This was just a fun thing to do and incorporate film with your wine tasting. You can do it anytime but I think it is a little
More helpful to do at the front end of a trip before you visit some vineyards. It
Might help you decide which vineyards you want to visit and/or revise your list.

We visited Vinolia for the 12:30 wine information tour and tasting. Our guide was Rosia and she was wonderful!! We learned a lot about the different viticultures in Chile. The sensory experiment was a lot of fun. The tasting was very well presented with all the tools to make notes, check colors, cleanse palate etc. We would have liked a slight (1 minute or so) pause between each wine to make notes, but everything else was fantastic.

After the tour we had lunch on the patio. Our server Valentina was very helpful and friendly and very attentive. We ordered off of the tapas menu and it was exquisite! Would happily go back for another visit.

This is a really unique wine tasting experience, they give you the opportunity to learn and test your knowledge of 48 distinct scents that can be found in Chilean wines. Following the scent room, they have a terrific custom designed wine tasting room that matches video introductions of each wine presented by the actual winemaker. So much to learn and so well done. But wait there is more, don't leave, stay for a wonderful dinner right there at Vinolia. We loved it all! I hope this idea spreads to other wine regions. Everything was available in English and Spanish.

We are 4 women traveling to Patagonia and had one day in Santiago and based on reviews thought it was going to be a lot of fun. My girlfriend booked for all 150us. And received confirmation. We were at San Cristóbal Hill
And had to RUSH up and down to get to our tasting, plus take an Uber there. We showed up at the bar, the door said OPEN It was locked and all lights out. My girlfriend called the number if we had questions. We could hear the phone ring. No one answered. We would like our money back but can’t find anyone to return our calls!!!

I Don’t recommend.

We did the wine tasting only (there is an option for dinner after the tasting), as we had eaten elsewhere that evening. It is held in the 'auditorium' of the wine store. First was the smell sensory test --there were 8 - 10 stations where you tried to guess the smell, which help you to learn to identify the common scents found in wine. Then, the tasting began. There are videos displayed of each winemaker discussing their wine and showing pictures of the winery itself, which was really neat to get to see where the wine came from! Salami's and cheeses were served on a cutting board to try with each of the 5 wines. Each one was delicious, and there were options to buy it there at the store after the tasting. This was a fun event and very well done. The auditorium where it is held is a perfect setup for this type of tasting.
