Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Plaza de Armas de Pucón is different from other cities, where it is located in the busiest part of the city and is the most central part. This is a few blocks from the avenue, it is quite quiet and occupies far more than a square. From there you get a good view of the Villarica volcano

In the Oficina de Informaciones we noticed that there was a free walking tour of Pucon starting in the Plaza de Armas. We showed up at the appointed hour and joined a small group hosted by Javier Kaltwasser. He proceeded to guide us through the park, then the lakefront, relating the history and landmarks of the town and the region. His English is excellent, and his local knowledge is very deep. On the walk, you will learn the best places for sunsets, town vistas, best hot springs, recommended bars and restaurants, and much more. Of course, a tip is expected at the conclusion, but Javier's commentary is well worth it.

נחמד לראות את הפסלים, אבל זאת לא אטרקציה. מרכז העיירה, יש שם מידע לתיירים, המון מסעדות, מאוד קרוב לחוף...

Very nice statue, it's the center of the city where you can get tourist information, a lot of restaurants and close to the beach...

We spent an hour or so strolling about this lovely Plaza. Throughout you will see rather nice use of the wood that was once a booming part of the early economy, I.e. prior to Pucon and its economic turn to tourism.  There are a number of Mapuche statues, ample green lawns, floral arrangements ideally placed, a rather large Rock Pond  which being summer was missing its otherwise large pool of water, over which is a bridge.. somewhat Japanese like.  There is even a Tourist Information Office on one side, all surrounded by large sidewalks. Of course one cannot forget to note the overlooking beauty of the Volcano Villarrica.  Certainly worthy of a visit.

I love the huge flag, wooden statues and labeled trees. It's a nice place to wander away from shopping. There is also a tourist office there.

Nice. Maybe you'll consider it nicer than many other plazas of Chile's cities.
If you go with kids they will probably enjoy the park
Enjoy

A very nice and needed change from of the old Main Square, not sports a children playground, a number of smaller nooks for couples or groups and chess tables.
Most of the old trees were kept. They really add to the ambiance. There are public restrooms.

They closed this place for such a long time to restructure it and they DID do such a good job. They have the representative native trees with their names on them, mapuche sculptures with their descriptions, all wooden, and a water fountain with a bridge crossing it over. It is the biggest square in the country I think since most of our squares are just a block sized, this one is about two which makes it more of a park. Great to come for a read, just a block away from the lake and you can see the volcano from one of its ends. There are a few bars around to enjoy a pisco sour before you continue on the go. Highly recommendable.

Great little park at the end of the main drag, leading to a quiet marina with ducks to feed and great views of the little bay. Some great contemporary art and indigenous art as well. Very central location.
