Bugis Street market has now been transformed into a mecca for shoppers and bargain-hunters. This market has just about everything you could want – CDs, souvenirs, t-shirts, shoes, jewellery, knick knacks and other fashion items.

I walked through Bugis street pretty much every day to get from ny hotel to Bugis MRT and back. Best thing to do...walk straight on through. Crowded, characterless and tacky. Plenty of other places to browse...more fun too.
Bugis Street is lined with shops selling all kinds of cheap stuff where shopped to our heart's content. Bought a lot of souvenirs for the family and some for us. It was very crowded but completely safe.
Good place to shop for souvenirs, a few things are a bit cheaper than Chinatown, Chinatown has better quality of goods. This place was close to our hotel Ibis on Bencoolen, so it was easy to take a stroll here.
