Stayed at the Orange Hotel overlooking the river. Brightly lit boats puttering around but plenty of places to eat nearby and easily accessible shops. Nothing to bust a gut over but if you want a quiet stroll it is ideal.

A little crowded and touristy, but nevertheless a good place to check out the local food and take a look at former times due to very nice renovated houses.

Many local snacks around this area. I took the ferry costing CNY 80 at night. Good audio explanation on the ferry but it's only in mandarin. This is a place with many stories. The oldest bridge was built 700 years ago! must visit!

It is OK, but there are a lot of interesting so called water towns in the province, so it is not necessary to visit the area.

Not bad place to go after dinner for a walk. The shops cover all types of goods from art to Starbucks.

A boat ride along the river, seeing the old buildings, getting away from the craziness of the tourist markets - who could ask for better?

Enjoy the evening boat ride, waste some time having tea and snacks, and troll around the tourist shops. It's campy, but worth it.
