Whilst not as awe inspiring as I thought it would be, this is still a site worth visiting. The entry fee for us was 70RMB each which is pretty cheap in the scheme of things. Lots to see whilst you are there and plenty of...More

This is a bit outside the city, really a large park with buildings and various statues in it. Lovely in the autumn because of the many trees, the tombs are imposing and worth visiting, and the avenue with the stone animals really delightful.

Went here with a private tour guide for a few hours on a Friday afternoon after arriving in Nanjing. It is part of beautiful, expansive grounds at the base of Purple Mountain. We really enjoyed walking the grounds , seeing the impressive statues and architecture,...More

The best part about this tomb is the street of carved animals leading up to the tomb. The tomb it’s self is just a building you walk into and nothing much to see. I think the other attractions on purple mountain are much more enjoyable...More

We visited the site after Sun’s Mausoleum, it was okay, not impressive as depicted in the traveling documentary. I am guessing because of my previous visit to Xian, which diminishes the historical significance of this place.

It was 37 degrees and I was really struggling in the heat but the pictures I had seen of the animals lining the kilometre long route to the Ming Tomb kept me going. They were worth it. Pairs of animals and non-animals life-size and bigger...More

You need a long time to get the best out of visiting this tomb. Right in the middle of a very green park. Very unspoilt and really well cared for. Just amazing
