It's a huge shopping mall in Mongkok, floor by floor, with various brands of apparel, beauty products, groceries, and restaurants according to your preferences.

Langham Palace is a mall like many others around the world. However, as opposed to other malls in Hong Kong, there are actually quite a few affordable stores. Make sure to ride all the way to the top with the escalators (13-ish floors). I've never seen that long escalators. Up to the fourth floor they are normal sized but between 4th and 13th floor there are two super long ones that span 4-5 floors each!
If you don't know what to do, there is also a 4XD movie theater at the mall.

Super huge shopping mall. But can get complicated with what you are trying to find. Many restaurants with small shops selling things upstairs.
Super long escalators which transport u 4 storeys up. Has a MTR downstairs. Connected to Cordis hotel on level 4

I really wanted to love this hotel. The rooms were bigger than some other hk hotels I’ve stayed at. However the shower heads were dirty. The water from the shower did not drain properly. The front desk agents were great… but the new restaurant manager wasn’t very capable. Price was over cost.. which is understandable… cause I was in a nice hotel.. but the food quality was horrible. The foie gras smelled and tasted like it’s been in the fridge for a long time. When I told the manager, he simply said “it’s how it’s served”… and looked at me like I was stupid or something… just the container lid was hard to open... I have another couple days here… and was planning on doing their afternoon tea on Saturday… but I’m going to cancel.

A great place for your family holiday or for business travel in Hong Kong. 42nd floor has the heated swimming pool with a great city view. You can choose to stay on floors higher of 25th floor . Great location with a mall below and a connected metro station below allowing you to go any where in Hong Kong. Lots of food options nearby.
However you could be better off to get a taxi yourself or else hotel staff makes a cut for every taxi they get for you from the city ( even if those are regular city taxis).

Langham Place (LP) is the largest shopping mall in Mongkok. Located on Portland Street with direct access to the Mong Kong MTR Station, this is a 15 floor (+ 2 basement levels) mall with 17,000 sq metres of shopping space and over 200 shops and eateries.
LP tends to be most popular with the younger crowd. The first thing that sticks out when visiting is the 83-metre escalator that takes you to the upper floors. There you discover a peculiar corkscrew shaped floor layout which winds up and down in a circular manner. Some find this confusing and obnoxious compared to traditional shopping mall floor layouts. Others find it quirky and fun, a bit like the retail shops you will find at Langham Place.
Where many malls in Hong Kong focus on high-end and luxury brand name retailers, LP tends to stick to the Mongkok vibe and culture, fillings its floors with boutique and youthful shops. Some brand names you will recognise like Marks & Spencer, H&M and the cosmetic brands that line the Level 1 Beauty Avenue. However, there are just as many local and lesser known retailers lining the mall's upper floors.
You'll find a similar range of food and drink venues that includes the likes of Starbucks and McDonalds, local favourites Honeymoon Dessert and Teawood, mixed with lesser known cafes, coffee shops and top floor bar. Langham Place is linked directly to a five star hotel called Cordis where you can find finer dining options and a good lobby bar. There is also a Jason's Marketplace and Cinema at the mall.
Lastly, worth note that LP often puts on interesting holiday and seasonal festival installations in the main foyer, particularly around Chinese New Year. These are often creative and offer a bit of fun for families with children.

This mall is located in Kowloon, and it's easily accessible by MTR. Get ready for really long escalators. Love this place.

Is this a good place to buy travel bags to use for checked luggage?

The cases available in this mall are really expensive and are of the keep for many years type.
If you're just after cheap check-in bags made of nylon/polyester, the markets are a better place to buy or go down nathan road towards Yue Hwa, look there or go a bit further to Bowring Street where they sell many cheap cases.
