During COVID19 pretty much air travels are down to 5 % and consequently the Premium First lounge here only had a few customers.
Only ordered from a small menu, it fills the need to fill the stomach and recharge cellphone and whatnot.
Comfortable couches with charging outlets and USB ports.

I received a pass to this lounge as I was travelling Business Class on China Airlines, which no longer runs a dedicated lounge at HK Airport. To describe it as "Premium First" is ludicrous. The food and beverage are passable for a normal lounge but are hardly First standard. It is crowded, the air con is not very good and all the charging points are HK power configuration only. If I had to separately pay I would have been sadly disappointed.
Norte carefully that there are a number of Plaza Premium lounges in HK Airport so there is no guarantee that a review you read, whether good or bad, is correctly posted to to the right lounge.

Flying emirates first so had to use this lounge. First of all it was full so people were having to stand… not the best start for a first class customer. The food was self service and was worse than my boarding school. The choice of chicken nuggets, penne pasta, some dubious looking chicken and a 2 piece salad bar. The hot water and coffee machines weren’t working in the bar which crowded out the small dining area even more. And the staff were just plain rude! In future will fly with a different airline that has a proper lounge.

We stayed twice in this lounge transiting Hong Kong. The place is new and clean, the seats are not comfy to seat, there are only 4 places in the infinity area to lay down, which are very uncomfortable and always busy.
The showers are on schedule, last time only 2 of us of 4 managed to have one, which is non sense.
They offer 10 min back and neck massage, which is great for long trip, olso on schedule and on availability. First time we stayed we had women who've done it - grumpy faces, not relacing at all. In the way back we had the chance to be served by 2 men, who were so good we felt asleep during session.
What is nice there is the food a la carte, which is really nice served with exceptional shampagne and lovely wine 🍷.
I would say a good lounge, but not so premium ( only for food I will tell Premium).
I would suggest a sleeping area fir those from long flights.

I had to use this lounge because the SkyTeam lounge is closed.
Even you state that it's closed it was open in July. Quite busy and not easy to find a private spot. Only local power plugs and not many USB outlets.
The shower was ok but no air so it takes ages to cool down.
The food was delicious but not bog choice.
Drinks are very limited and the biggest drawback. Doesn't deserve the name First unless it means it's the first you meet.
It's quite a long walk to the gate.

The is the worst airport lounge I’ve ever had the misfortune of visiting. Dark, crowded, poor food, unwiped tables. Do yourself a favour and avoid this lounge. You’re better off in the airy terminal than here.

I tried curry chicken and pepper beef. Both amazed me.
Then the chief recommended fish ball noodles. And also he recommended XO source on the side. It was absolutely amazing. Paired with a glass of the Chardoney, wow! Definitely best fish ball noodles I ever had.
Must try!

Nice lounge with a sit at bar or nice comfort seats around. A nice hot barbecue section, most importantly the staff on the bar. Especially Emelda. Lovely smile and a pleasure to have serve me 5*

The food was good.
Promised a 10 mins free massage. They told me that I am on waiting list for massage for 2 plus pm but the massage was available for 3pm. However, later on when I went back at 3pm, they told me I am just on waiting list and I was not on the list for 3pm. I suspect they just put my name on waiting list but didn’t put me on for 3pm. Had a bad experience in the end.

Goodness, this was quite mediocre. You’re allowed to order one dish a-la-carte. I ordered the duck breast - other options were not inspiring. The skin wasn’t crispy. I think that it had been cooked in a sous vide and then quickly pan fried. The end result wasn’t great. The salad selection was reasonable (but its only salad after all). Don’t like being a winger but if you have a choice of other lounges maybe think about using them.

You don't need to book in advance and you can go to the lounge on the day itself. 8 hrs you are looking at least 200USD if I remember correctly

I'm sorry for responding so late, I hope not too late. The answer to your question is: Smart casual.
Generally speaking, most places in Asia are very relaxed when it comes to "dress code", so I can not guarantee that you won't see someone in short sports trousers and flip-flops there. But it would really destroy the ambience of this place. This place is pretty classy, and whenever we visited it, people wore long trousers, real shoes and at least a Polo-shirt. Most would have a proper shirt (no tie) and a jacket, no matter if combined with jeans or slacks/dress pants. Enjoy!
