SanLiTun Bar Street has changed since I first visited in pre-Olympics in 2007, the strip of seedy bars and hawkers is now more refined.
As this street is being ‘refined’ you will still have the old hawker and see the pile dancing but you can...More
This is an attractive area for entertainment, particularly if you are young in your 20s, open-minded and you have enough money in your pocket. American and european style bars with live music and restaurants and coffee shops where the customers average age is in the...More
Has lots of options from seedy to family friendly all types of music some of it live but it all lacked character or a sense of being felt like any other metro downtown area was a let down as an attraction overall
We found this street as we were looking for a nice bar to enjoy saturday night. It is lined with shopping, bars, and restaurants. The bars are open till wee hours of the night. Some are crowded with live music and popular with the local...More
Three of us jumped a cab down to Sanlitun Bar STreet on Wednesday night at around 8 and it was pretty quiet.
Popped into a couple of bars and had one in each. Ended up in Adams Bar, staff were fantastic, drinks were really great...More
a large variety of restaurants and bars (some with pole dancers, but mostly with life music). nice area and good for a walk. downside: it could be anywhere in the world in any big city, and therefore lacks a bit soul.
First Floor has a reputation as a pick-up joint, and perhaps it was in the past. As I understand it, it is located on "Old Bar Street" ("old" because it's not really a bar street anymore - that's the next street). It's not a pick-up...More
Please note, that a third of the Sanlitun Rd Bar strip is currently knocked down and is undergoing renovations.
Opposite the the (somewhat seedy looking) bar strip are a selection of multi-storey malls which have stores like Adidas, Starbucks, a German sports bar, book store,...More

Hi Robert. Unfortunately, TripAdvisor does not allow anyone to supply personal email, phone numbers, etc on their website when answering questions. I have added my email several times to answer a question and it was rejected by the system. Other than that, I would be glad to help, but you probably you have to list your questions in detail.
However, the bars on the main street called "Bar Street" are a bit over rated. Several have good music. at least on the weekends. But there are some ladies of the night selling their charm in this area, but most annoying are the men and women on the street trying to convince you to go to their bar just a 5 min walk away. They will offer free drink, plenty of entertainment, etc. Don't accept any of their offers. They are all rip offs and you will get trapped into an expensive evening buying drinks for the ladies who ae more than willing to join you for conversation. Their job is to sell expensive drinks, fast!! The bars on Bar Street are not that way, and are worth a visit.

2)BEIJING is well known for the roast duck. DO visit "GOLDEN MILLION" (Chinese :ZIN BAI WAN") restaurant for their roasted duck and not the infamous restaurant (???!!!) where everyone goes. Check with your hotel, as ZIN BAI WAN is not too well known by most travellers ,even the Locals. They have several outlets in BEIJING.
